America at war
After the horrors of the First World War, the United States was understandably reluctant to enter another global conflict. But as the Nazis raced across Europe and Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, the US finally declared war in 1941, sending much-needed equipment and brave servicemen across the Atlantic and eventually turning the tide in this terrible conflict.
