Just a cotton pickin' minute - Maths alert! If Robin Hood really existed it would probably have coincided with the reign of King John; 1199-1216. And if he existed, he and his merry men hid in the Mighty Oak of Sherwood, estimated to be between 800 and 1000 years old. So a band of outlaws hid in what at the time could have been little more than a sapling.
