Described as "a brown cat living a life of adventure", Burma may have his home in southern Oregon, but he's no stranger to the road. He's purred before waterfalls like the Cascades in Giles County, Virginia, and preened along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. He also shares some of his adventures with his sister, a pooch named Puppi.
This little English bulldog lives the high life – not least because his owner, Bradley Friesen, is a helicopter pilot. Mister Bentley is routinely whisked off over western Canada, where he's from, and has visited destinations from Vancouver to New York City. Here he is sunning himself by a rooftop pool.
This adventurous kitty lives Down Under. Willow has been travelling Australia since 2014, after owner Rich swapped the grind of the corporate world for life on the road. They struck out from their hometown of Hobart, Tasmania and haven't looked back since, exploring everywhere from the sun-baked coast to buzzing cities and the Australian bush.
This adorable little West Highland terrier is named Bajas, but his moniker 'Mountain Adventure Dog' is much more fitting. He spends his life exploring the Norwegian wilderness with owner Jørgen Øyehaug. Follow his Instagram account for super-cute snaps of Bajas before backdrops of snow-frosted mountains, thundering waterfalls and mirror-clear fjords.
Branded the "tiny Italian dog that has probably travelled more than you", pint-sized Chihuahua Miami has indeed covered an impressive percentage of the globe. Exploring with owner Marianna Chiaraluce in tow, Miami has left paw prints everywhere from the USA's Monument Valley to Portuguese capital Lisbon. Here he is a little closer to home, before the Grand Canal in Venice.
Seattle-born photographer Jeremy Veach has been travelling full-time in his mobile home for five years, and he shares his life on the road with a special canine companion. Gus the basset hound has accompanied Jeremy on epic adventures along Route 66 and watched the sun set over Arizona's red rocks. He enjoys cosy naps en route too.

Looking for some dog-friendly travel inspiration in the UK? Then look no further than Arty the Manchester terrier and his travel-writing human Lottie Gross. Arty travelled the length and breadth of the British Isles, hiking in Devon's Dartmoor National Park and exploring ruins in the North York Moors, as his owner penned Dog-Friendly Weekends: 50 breaks in Britain for you and your dog.
Few travelling duos are more adorable than these two. Four-legged pals Django and Chloe hail from Rio de Janeiro, live in Lisbon and travel, well, everywhere. They've rested their paws in destinations ranging from Greece to France to the United States. This is them posing in Pioneertown, California, a favourite filming location for western movies.
It's not hard to see why this gorgeous canine is nicknamed 'Wolfdog'. And just like his namesake, Loki is as free as the wind, adventuring in the wild with his owner. Paddling expeditions are his favourite pastime – here he is looking majestic, kayaking before a crown of snow-flecked peaks.

It's not just loveable mutts and moggies that roam the world either – Oliver the desert pig, who hails from Phoenix, Arizona, has racked up a fair number of states on his travels too. Beautiful Aspen is billed a "golden retriever in love with the open road", though the epic scenery in his home state of Colorado means he doesn't always have to travel far for his adventures. Find him trotting among the peaks of Black Canyon in Gunnison National Park or checking out the powder at his local ski resorts.
A Pembroke Welsh corgi with a penchant for adventure, Cooper loves a West Coast trip. Get inspired for your own Pacific Northwest or Californian escape as you pore over pics of the little pooch with his paws in the surf at San Francisco, or perched before Snoqualmie Falls, Washington.
Parson Russell terriers Max and Louise are no strangers to the press. Their travels, which have taken them from Miami's South Beach to Venezuela with owner Thiago Ferreira, have hit the headlines on multiple occasions. Here they are living the good life, swimming in the beautifully clear waters of Corsica, France.
Loveable Hamlet the Beach Hog has a very special job: he's an emotional support animal for owner Megan Peabody, who suffers from anxiety when flying. Usually a resident of the sun-baked US Virgin Islands, he's jetted off to Boston via San Juan, Puerto Rico. Best of all, though, he likes a day spent languishing on Lindquist Beach back home.
The adorably named Spongecake, Donut and Mocha found themselves in the news after their owner, New York lawyer Dan Nguyen, decided to bring them along on his travels. The furry trio, often seen snuggled in pet carriers, have jet-setted from Venice, Italy to French capital Paris, and have gained a huge following on TikTok. Here they are cuddled up before Brooklyn Bridge in their hometown of New York City.
German shepherd Moxie and her owners Jess and Greg Stone are a striking sight on the highway – the trio ride a pair of motorcycles, with Moxie nestled with Jess in her specially-designed canine carrier. The Stones met Moxie in Guatemala, when she was one of a litter of puppies, and they're currently on an epic 10-month adventure that take them to 90 countries. The journey is in aid of Girl Up, with the aim of raising $100,000 (£82,470) to support female-led initiatives around the world: follow their adventure here.
