US airlines with best customer satisfaction
Today the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) released results of their 2018 travel survey, examining the levels of customer satisfaction within the airline and hotel industries. Here, we break down the top nine airlines for customer satisfaction in the USA.

9. Spirit Airlines
The entire airline industry saw a dip of 2.7% in customer satisfaction for 2018. But one airline bucking this trend is Spirit, which saw a 2% rise in satisfaction among its customers. Despite their increased score, last year, Spirit Airlines was listed as the worst airline for delays in America.

8. Frontier Airlines
Frontier Airlines' customer satisfaction took a 2% hit this year, sitting well below the industry average of 73 out of 100.

7. United Airlines
Rather unsurprisingly, United Airlines has see one of the biggest dips among the biggest players this year. With a score of just 67 out of 100, they lost 4% on their customer satisfaction rating for 2018.

6. Delta
Dropping 3% on its customer satisfaction rating, Delta landed a score of 74 out of 100, coming in just above the industry average.

2. Alaska Airlines
In second place, Alaska Airlines saw a 1% rise in customer satisfaction this year, increasing their score to 79 out of 100.

1. Southwest Airlines
In first place, Southwest Airlines hasn't moved an inch on last year's score, sitting pretty at 80 out of 100. This comes just a week after one of the airline's Boeing 737s made an emergency landing when an engine blew up, tragically killing one passenger. The airline was also ranked second worst in the US for mishandling baggage.
