The hotel did indeed first open in 1886, but after becoming rundown it closed for a period and was purchased by new owners in the late 1990s. This breathtaking luxury resort in California’s “Lost Sierra” combines the beauty of the rugged mountains with the legendary design of famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright. For a truly secluded mountain getaway, Montana’s Triple Creek Ranch is a beautifully rustic refuge hidden in the Rockies’ Bitterroot range.
