From Elvis to J-Lo: Celebrities who got married in Las Vegas
Vows in Vegas

With its array of chapels, speedy marriage licences and out-of-this-world venues, it’s easy to see why Las Vegas is such a popular wedding destination. Who wouldn’t want to tie the knot with Elvis presiding over the nuptials (at Graceland Chapel) or while standing 800 feet (244m) above Las Vegas Valley (at Chapel in the Clouds)? And the stars agree. From Britney to J-Lo, from sports players to movie stars, here are 29 celebrity couples who chose to get hitched in Sin City.
Elvis and Priscilla

The wedding that – quite possibly – sparked the Vegas weddings craze, in 1967 Elvis Presley married Priscilla Ann Beaulieu at Milton Prell's Aladdin Hotel. The pair had met in Germany, where The King had been stationed while he was in the military. The ceremony was fairly small, attended by a few relatives and close friends. Afterwards, a banquet with around one hundred guests was held below the hotel's casino. The couple divorced in 1973 – five years after the birth of their daughter, Lisa Marie.
Jane Fonda and Roger Vadim

Jane Fonda married the French film director Roger Vadim at a short ceremony in Vegas in 1965. The reception was held at the Dunes Hotel, where the pair were serenaded by a troupe of female violinists in sequined dresses. The marriage failed, ending in divorce in 1973. Fonda reportedly said of her wedding day that she was “feeling like a zombie and wondering: ‘I don’t know why I’m doing this’”.
Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow

The My Way crooner and his then-girlfriend, actress Mia Farrow, got hitched back in 1966, tying the knot at The Sands Hotel and Casino in Vegas. There was an age gap of 29 years – he was 50 and she was 21. They got divorced two years later, when Sinatra reportedly served her divorce papers on the set of Rosemary’s Baby. But the couple remained close – Farrow continued to see Sinatra throughout her 13-year relationship with Woody Allen, according to Vanity Fair.
Bob Geldof and Paula Yates

The Little Church of the West was the choice of Bob Geldof, who wed his long-time girlfriend Paula Yates there in 1986, shortly after his Live Aid support efforts for Ethiopia. She wore a striking red dress and veil, and the guestlist included David Bowie and Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon, who was Geldof’s best man. Geldof and Yates divorced a decade later, in 1996.
Bruce Willis and Demi Moore

Hollywood A-listers Bruce Willis and Demi Moore were married for 13 years after tying the knot at the Golden Nugget Hotel while on holiday in 1987. The couple – who had been dating for just three months before they got hitched – renewed their vows in front of loved ones a month later. The pair announced their separation in 1998 but it wasn’t until 2000 that they divorced. They have three daughters together – Rumer, Scout and Tallulah – and remain friends.
Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley

In 1989, the rockstar broke many of his fans’ hearts by eloping to Vegas with his high school sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley. During a one-day break on his New Jersey tour, they married at the Graceland Wedding Chapel, which the singer is known to visit when he’s in town. The couple have now been married for more than 30 years and they have four children – Stephanie, Jesse, Jacob and Romeo.
Michael Jordan and Juanita Vanoy

The basketball legend wed his first wife, Juanita Vanoy, in 1989. The pair arrived at A Little White Wedding Chapel in a taxi at 2.30am. They filed for divorce in 2002, citing irreconcilable differences, but reunited shortly after. Four years later, in 2006, they divorced, saying the decision was made "mutually and amicably". Vanoy reportedly received a $168 million settlement – the largest celebrity divorce settlement on public record at the time.
Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere

The supermodel and Pretty Woman heartthrob met in 1988 when she was 22 and he was 39. The 17-year age gap didn’t deter them from jetting off to Vegas on a private jet for their nuptials at The Church of the West in 1991. Crawford donned a navy-blue Armani suit to walk down the aisle. Their four-year marriage ended in 1995, with Crawford later saying: "We didn't spend enough time together."
Billy Ray Cyrus and Leticia Jean Finley

The parents of Miley Cyrus got married in secret in 1993. They walked the aisle of Graceland Wedding Chapel together, reportedly against the advice of his record label. Leticia “Tish” Finley was pregnant with their son, Braison, at the time. Tish filed for divorce twice – in 2013 before couples therapy rekindled their relationship and again in 2022. Divorce papers revealed they had been separated for more than two years.
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos

In 1996, after a year of dating, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos eloped to Sin City. The pair had met on the set of All My Children where they played on-screen lovers. Ripa said her husband-to-be proposed during an evening of eating pizza and drinking wine – and the next day, they were in Vegas for their secret ceremony. Two decades and three children later, the couple are still going strong.
Noel Gallagher and Meg Mathews

After dating for three years, the Oasis singer-songwriter and Meg Mathews got hitched in 1997 in a secret ceremony in Las Vegas. They wed just before midnight at the Little Church of the West, the oldest wedding chapel on the Strip. But the union only lasted four years – the couple were granted a “quickie” divorce in 2001 on the grounds of Gallagher’s adultery with PR girl Sara MacDonald, whom he married in 2011.
Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman

The Baywatch actress took the plunge with the former professional basketball player in 1998 following an all-night bender, according to reports. They picked A Little Chapel of the Flowers for their nuptials – but filed for divorce after just six months. Rodman later claimed that he was "of unsound mind when he recited his vows." Electra reportedly countered that the pair were truly in love and his comments had been taken out of context.
Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton

Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton got married in 2000 after meeting on the set of Pushing Tin in 1999. Thornton was still dating his then-fiancé Laura Dern when the co-stars took off for the surprise wedding in Vegas. The couple – who used to wear vials of each other's blood around their necks – both wore jeans for the 20-minute ceremony at the Little Church of the West. The marriage – Thornton’s fifth and Jolie’s second – ended in divorce in 2003.
Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf

The word 'love' may mean nothing in tennis lingo, but for Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf it means everything. In 2001, they got married in a private ceremony at their Las Vegas home. Only the former Wimbledon champions’ mothers were present. At the time, Graf was pregnant with their first child. She told a friend: “We are madly in love and I just know this is right for me.” The couple – who have two sons – are still happily married.
Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star met her future husband in 1997 on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer. But the pair didn’t start dating for another three years, sparking their romance in 2000. By 2001, they were engaged, and though their 2002 wedding took place in Mexico, they first said their vows at A Little White Wedding Chapel in a midday ceremony a few months prior.
Britney Spears and Jason Alexander

Pop princess Britney married her childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander at A Little White Wedding Chapel in 2004. Both were 22 at the time. Britney wore a baseball cap to the ceremony, and they turned up in a lime-green limo, with a boombox playing Here Comes The Bride. But it didn’t last – the marriage was annulled a mere 55 hours later. The singer later said she "lacked understanding of her actions" and was “being silly, being rebellious.”
Nicky Hilton and Todd Andrew Meister

The Hilton Hotels heiress and her New York businessman boyfriend got married in 2004, in a 2.30am ceremony. They were joined at the Vegas Wedding Chapel by Nicky’s sister Paris and the actress Bijou Phillips. Paris' dog, Tinkerbell, wore a tiara and carried the rings, according to reports. The couple ended up getting an annulment less than three months later, although they ended on good terms and are still friends today.
Kevin Dillon and Jane Stuart

Entourage star Kevin Dillon married the model and actress Jane Stuart in an Elvis-themed ceremony in 2006. Dillon chose co-star Jerry Ferrara to be his best man. Fellow cast member Kevin Connolly walked Stuart – who was pregnant with their daughter at the time – down the aisle. The couple got divorced in 2019.
Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon

Former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson wed Rick Salomon – the other star of Paris Hilton’s infamous tape – at the Mirage Hotel in 2007. The ceremony took place in the break between two magic shows she was in. The couple were joined by Anderson’s children and the likes of Spiderman actor Tobey Maguire and magician Hans Klok. The marriage was the third for both of them, ending in an annulment after two months. They remarried in 2014 – but divorced a few months later.
Christina Milian and The-Dream

R&B star Christina eloped with music producer The-Dream in 2009. They had a quiet ceremony at the Little White Chapel, saying 'I do' at exactly midnight according to Milian's marriage licence. The Dip It Low singer reportedly rented her wedding dress for $200 (including shoes and veil) while his tux cost $100 to hire, including the shoes and tie. Sadly, the union didn’t last – the pair got divorced five months later, while Milian was pregnant with their daughter Violet Madison Nash.
Mike Tyson and Lakiha Spicer

Heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson married his third wife, Lakiha “Kiki” Spicer, in a private ceremony at La Bella Wedding Chapel in 2009. They exchanged vows 11 days after the tragic death of Exodus, his four-year-old daughter with another woman. According to the wedding chapel owner, the marriage took place with “no guests whatsoever, just the bride and groom.” He added that it was “very intimate, sincere. Mike seemed very happy.” The couple are still going strong.
Sinead O'Connor and Barry Herridge

The Nothing Compares 2 U singer met her fourth husband Barry Herridge, a psychotherapist from Ireland, online in 2011, after publicly stating that she was looking for potential suitors. They met in real life and got married shortly after, in the back of a pink Cadillac at the Little White Chapel. But the marriage was short-lived, ending after 16 days. Later, O’Connor said: “The whole reason I ended it was out of respect and love for the man.”
Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth

The actors met in 2012 while co-starring in an art film together. They hit up Sin City to get wed in 2016 in a ceremony officiated by an Elvis impersonator. Nevada officials said there was no marriage licence on file for the couple, making the marriage technically not legal. But LaBeouf later went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and confirmed their marriage. In 2018, he announced that the couple were getting a divorce.
Rachel Riley and Pasha Kovalev

Countdown’s Rachel Riley married dancer Pasha Kovalev in 2019 after falling in love on British TV show Strictly Come Dancing. They said their 'I dos' at Fremont Wedding Chapel, which has a dwarf Elvis impersonator and offers ceremonies for £30 ($36). The then-pregnant Riley – who split from first husband Jamie Gilbert after a year of marriage – wore a red and white minidress for the occasion, while Kovalev donned smart-casual chinos and a blazer. The couple are happily married with two daughters.
Nicolas Cage and Erika Koike

For his fourth marriage, Nicolas Cage married makeup artist Erika Koike. The pair had kept their relationship under wraps, so the 2019 ceremony came as a surprise to many. But after just four days, the actor filed for an annulment, claiming the pair were too drunk and he had "reacted on impulse and without the ability to [recognise] or understand the full impact of his actions."
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner

Just hours after the Jonas Brothers performed at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, Joe Jonas and Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner headed to A Little White Wedding Chapel. The pair – who had been engaged for two years – were joined by an Elvis impersonator, with Joe's siblings Nick and Kevin Jonas as groomsmen. And the world got to watch thanks to Diplo – the DJ streamed the whole thing on his Instagram story. The couple had a bigger wedding in France later that year.
Lily Allen and David Harbour
2020 may have been the year of the pandemic, but that didn’t stop Stranger Things actor David Harbour and singer Lily Allen from getting hitched. The pair shared the news on Instagram, revealing that their low-key ceremony came complete with an Elvis impersonator and burgers from In-N-Out. Later Harbour said: “The pandemic was going on… We had to get married very quickly… The only place you can really get married quickly and effectively is Las Vegas.”
Nicolas Cage and Riko Shibata

Two years after marrying Erika Koike in Vegas, Nicolas Cage was back, this time to get hitched to girlfriend Riko Shibata. The 2021 ceremony, which took place at the Wynn Hotel, was "very small and intimate” according to a rep for the Captain Corelli’s Mandolin star. The date it took place (16 February) was also significant, to honour the birthday of Cage’s late father. The couple are still going strong.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck said their 'I dos' in a small ceremony in the Vegas desert in July 2022. J-Lo later said it had been the “best night of our lives”, adding: "Stick around long enough and maybe you'll find the best moment of your life in a drive through in Las Vegas at twelve thirty in the morning”. The couple were previously engaged but called off their 2003 wedding. They reunited in 2021 after an almost 20-year split.
