loveEXPLORING is looking for a news and features writer to join our successful team.

Love Inc is an award-winning, independent digital lifestyle publisher with a global focus and more than 10 million readers a month.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative News and Features Writer to join our hugely successful brand loveEXPLORING.com, to help grow our audience around the world.

You’ll be producing engaging and insightful photo gallery-style features on a vast range of topics, from the best new hotels opening around the world, shocking weather and climate-change related stories, to the best US road trips. You’ll also write travel articles hooked off relevant news stories, from celebrity-focused travel pieces to tips on avoiding airport chaos.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves the challenge of researching and creating compelling news-led and evergreen content.

This role will predominately be home-based although will occasionally require travel to London.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Generating and pitching great ideas that will help us grow our audience on our own and our partner sites;
• Researching and producing engaging content, photo-led galleries and articles;
• Updating key pieces of older content so they are up to date and relevant;
• Monitoring performance to understand what’s worked and what hasn’t and why, using analytics tools (full training will be provided).

What we are looking for:

• An NCTJ-trained journalist who is passionate about digital journalism and travel (and ideally has experience in both);
• Knowledge of cruising and/or the US would be preferable;
• An excellent and captivating writer with top-notch attention to detail and faultless spelling, grammar and fact-checking abilities;
• Confidence when pitching ideas, and a great eye for a travel-related news or features story;
• Photo editing skills are a bonus;
• Knowledge of social media and search engine optimisation;
• Experience of using a content management system beneficial (although training will be provided);
• Good interpersonal and communication skills;
• A proactive, positive attitude;
• Excellent project/time management and organisational skills;

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary dependent on experience plus a discretionary performance-based bonus scheme and excellent benefits, including 30 days’ annual holiday.
