We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative Syndication Editor to join our hugely-successful, award-winning digital publishing company and help grow our audience around the globe, with a particular focus on the US. We produce hugely engaging editorial across a variety of subjects including money, travel, food and drink, and property.
We would be very interested in hearing from people who would be happy to work weekday afternoons and evenings and weekends instead of standard weekday daytime hours.
What we’re looking for from you:
- The ability to manage your workflow to meet a busy production schedule;
- The ability to write engaging, accurate headlines and marry them with eye-catching images across various subjects and various countries;
- The ability to use data to inform your editorial decision-making effectively;
- A keen interest in the subject matter areas we cover;
- An excellent news instinct and understanding of current affairs and popular culture in the English-speaking world;
- Knowledge of current media legislation, especially libel and copyright law;
- A self-starting, motivated attitude;
- The ability to work in a busy and challenging environment.
The role will require you to perform the following tasks:
- Managing editorial schedules to maximise performance in different markets;
- Preparing and publishing photo gallery-style content, from headlines and main image through to metadata and keywords;
- Analysing content performance and making recommendations for future tactics;
- Assisting with team planning and providing holiday cover for Head of Syndication and other members of the team;
- Statistical reporting on performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
The role will predominately be home-based although will occasionally require travel to London.
Compensation
We offer a competitive salary dependent on experience plus a discretionary performance-based bonus scheme and excellent benefits including 30 days’ annual leave.
