Love Inc is an award-winning, independent digital lifestyle publisher with a global focus and more than 10 million readers a month.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative Features Writer to join our hugely successful brand loveEXPLORING.com, to help grow our audience around the world.

You’ll be producing engaging and insightful, photo gallery-style features on a vast range of topics, from the best new hotels opening around the USA to shocking weather and climate-change related stories, to historic galleries featuring vintage photos of places around the world.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves the challenge of researching and creating compelling gallery features and evergreen travel content, and who wants their work to be read globally.

This role will predominantly be home-based, although will occasionally require travel to London (around once a quarter).

Key responsibilities of the role:

Generating and pitching great ideas that will help us grow our site’s audience;
Researching and producing engaging content, primarily made up of photo-led evergreen galleries;
Updating key pieces of older content so they are up to date, SEO-friendly and relevant.
Monitoring performance to understand what’s worked and what hasn’t and why, using analytics tools (full training will be provided).

What we are looking for:

Excellent writing skills and the ability to craft clean, compelling copy on any topic;
A passion for digital journalism and travel. A passion for history, another key area that does well for us, is also a bonus.
Top-notch attention to detail and faultless spelling, grammar and fact-checking abilities;
Confidence when pitching ideas and a great eye for a travel-related gallery;
A good eye for images to showcase our pictorial galleries;
An ability to write compelling headlines;
Experience of using a content management system is beneficial (although training will be provided);
Good interpersonal and communication skills;
A proactive, positive attitude;
Excellent project/time management and organisational skills;
Photo editing skills are a bonus;
A knowledge of media law and image use is a bonus;
Knowledge of cruising and/or the US is preferable but not essential;
An NCTJ-trained journalist is preferable but not essential.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary dependent on experience plus a discretionary performance-based bonus scheme and excellent benefits, including 30 days’ annual holiday.
