English into French Freelance Editorial Translator

Love Inc is an expanding digital lifestyle publishing company based in the UK with a global focus. Our brands include loveMONEY, loveFOOD, loveEXPLORING and lovePROPERTY. Our French Language Team works with third-party partner sites in France, Belgium and Switzerland.

We are currently looking for freelance translators to localise our editorial features from English into lively, conversational French that will be understood by a French language audience. We are not looking for straightforward translations; writing with flair as well as accuracy is essential.

The role is fully remote.

What we’re looking for from you:

• Strong writing skills (French), preferably with a background in journalism, PR or literary translation;
• Fluency in English;
• A self-starting, diligent attitude with meticulous attention to detail;
• A keen interest in the subject matter areas we cover.

The role will require you to perform the following tasks:

• Fast, accurate translating of English-language photo gallery editorial content (2,000+ words per piece) from the subject areas of travel, food and drink, money and property into appealing French for online publication;
• Proofreading and quality assurance of translations.
