The airlines with the most (and least) delays revealed

New figures show that Wizz Air, Tui and British Airways are the three worst airlines for delays operating in the UK.
The PA news agency analysed figures from the Civil Aviation Authority, which revealed all the scheduled and chartered departures by companies with more than 2,500 flights
If you don’t want to land late, avoid travelling with Wizz Air – it was the worst offender, with its departures being an of average of 14 minutes and 24 seconds behind schedule last year.
Not far behind the Hungarian carrier was Tui – the study showed that the airline averaged delays of 13 minutes and 18 seconds. Meanwhile, British Airways also lagged behind, with a delay average of 12 minutes and 42 seconds.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Aer Lingus has been crowned the most punctual airline, with neglible average delays of three minutes and 12 seconds. EasyJet and Ryanair came second and third respectively.
