If you’ve not got your family holiday sorted, we’ve found a few choice deals for this summer.

1. For an unusual stay: a week in a windmill in Rutland

Why wake up in a dull and drab hotel room when you could stay in something a little more unusual this summer? Sykes Cottages have a gorgeous windmill in Rutland. It sleeps four in two bedrooms and is just £853 for a week’s stay from 5 August.

The windmill is located in Morcott, a small village 20 miles outside Peterborough in the gorgeously green countryside of Rutland. It’s just a short drive from Rutland Water Nature Reserve – a perfect excursion for any mini-Attenboroughs in the family.

2. For an Italian adventure: £793 for 10 nights near Venice
