For wallet-friendly airfares: easyJet's new routes
With a huge airfares war taking place, now's a great time to find rock-bottom flight prices. And easyJet is stepping into the fray by launching nine new routes from the UK, including Southend to Malta and Bristol to Athens.
You can fly on the airline's first service from Manchester to Agadir, on Morocco's southern Atlantic coast, for £62 return, departing 1 November and returning a week later.
For a capital escape: self-drive London from £152pp
Forget open-top buses, you can get behind the wheel of a convertible in the capital with Super Break's new self-drive tour package.
Starting at £152pp, the deal includes two nights' room-only at the Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum and 90 minutes in a two-seater Yonda car, in which you can follow a route past sights such as Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. Valid for arrival on 13 August, the deal is based on two sharing and can be booked once you've selected your hotel room.
For a cruise with a difference: rock out from £499pp
Spend a week rocking out to Suzi Quatro, Slade and The Yardbirds on a cruise around the British Isles.
The seven-night full-board Rock the Boat UK voyage, on Cruise and Maritime’s Magellan, departs from Newcastle on 2 September and costs from £499pp with Iglu Cruise, based on two sharing. It calls at Aberdeen, the Isle of Skye, Liverpool, Dublin and Invergordon, but the main attraction are the musical acts, who will be doing meet and greets as well as performances.
For last-minute long-distance: Hong Kong from £902pp
eDreams is offering five nights at the 4-star Dorsett Tsuen Wan Hotel in Hong Kong plus flights from Heathrow, for £902pp.

The price is based on two sharing room-only accommodation.
For low-cost family fun: Costa Brava for under £400pp
It's still possible to book a budget escape during the school holidays; Monarch has a number of late deals including a self-catering holiday in a one-bedroom apartment in Tossa de Mar on the Costa Brava.
Accommodation is at Medplaya Esmeralda, which has a pool and restaurant and is a short distance from the sandy beach.
The price is based on two adults and two children, and includes flights from Manchester to Barcelona, departing 16 August.
For a bucket-list adventure: India tour from £899pp including flights
Explore some of India's top attractions this winter from £899pp, including flights. The 10-night Golden Triangle and Pushkar small group tour includes visits to Delhi, the Taj Mahal and Jaipur.
Valid on select dates in December and January 2017, the price includes flights, transfers, B&B accommodation and a guide. See Travelzoo for more details.
For an elegant sailing experience: Adriatic voyage for £599pp with flights
Spend a week sailing the Adriatic on a beautiful gulet boat, with the chance to visit UNESCO sites and leap off the deck into the sea.
The cruise, booked through Secret Escapes, includes half-board accommodation aboard a 12- or 16-berth gulet (a traditional Turkish wooden sailing boat) and includes stops in Montenegro such as the Bay of Kotor and the Blue Caves of Mamula, as well as Dubrovnik in Croatia, one of the filming locations for Game of Thrones.
Book before midnight on 24 July for £599pp, including flights from Gatwick to Tivat, Montenegro, on 30 July.
For bargain Barcelona: mid-week escape for less than £200
You can bag yourself a great deal on a city break if you're not tied to travelling at the weekend. Lastminute.com has two nights in Barcelona for £178pp, departing Monday 31 July; about half the price of a Friday-Sunday stay.
The package includes room-only at the 3-star Sagrada Familia hotel, right by Gaudi's church of the same name, and flights from Gatwick (returning to Stansted).
