September can either get you in the mood for autumn or make you want to cling to summer for a little longer. We’ve come up with some travel deals that offer a bit of both.
1. For Indian luxury: save £470 on Goa
Plan now for next March and save £470. Goa Experience is offering money off its 14-night break at the Balinese-style Alila Diwa Goa, where you’ll be surrounded by rice paddies and coconut groves. The price of £1,469 includes Gatwick flights, transfers and breakfast, and is for 21 March departure.
2. For late-summer sun: a Greek villa for £549
GIC the Villa Collection is slashing 39% off its Villa Sakaroula, which is in a dreamy spot in Skiathos overlooking the Aegean Sea. Two people leaving on 29 September would pay £549pp for a week’s self-catering in this two-bedroom villa with its own pool, including Gatwick flights and car hire. It’s even cheaper for four – only £434pp.

3. For a dog-friendly holiday: 20% off a Dartmoor cottage
Bring a dog or two for a romp through the Dartmoor countryside by the village of Holne. Helpful Holidays is offering a week’s self-catering at the dog-friendly three-bedroom Stone Barn Cottage for £388, which is a bargain when six people travel together. The offer is valid from 23 and 30 September and 7 and 14 October.
4. For a mountain hideaway: £100 off rural Cyprus
Hole up in the cosy Linos Inn deep in the tranquil Troodoos Mountains and feast on Cypriot home cooking in a medieval setting. Sunvil is offering a week at this family-run B&B from £591pp, a saving of £100pp. The price includes Gatwick flights, breakfast and car hire, and it’s for a 10 October departure.

5. For some Italian sun: Sardinia for £439
Just a few miles from Alghero in the peaceful countryside is Casa Cherchi, a two-bedroom villa with its own pool. Sardinian Places has a week’s self-catering for £439pp, based on four people sharing – a saving of £221pp. The price includes Luton flights, car hire and a welcome hamper, and is for a 14 October departure.
6. For a pre-Christmas break: Cape Verde for £789
Cape Verde Experience has knocked £275pp off its seven-night holiday at the Hotel Morabeza overlooking Sal’s Santa Maria beach. Costing £789, the holiday includes Gatwick flights, transfers, breakfast, visas and UK airport lounge access for a 4 December departure.

7. For a taste of autumn: a night in Winchester
Treat yourself to a night in the lovely cathedral city of Winchester at the Winchester Hotel & Spa. For £64.50pp you get breakfast, £25pp towards dinner, full use of the hotel’s spa facilities as well as a free visit and guided tour of Winchester Cathedral. The offer is valid until 30 December, and the price goes up to £99pp on Saturday nights.
8. For a taste of France: Corsica for £399
Grab five of your friends or family and head to the west coast of Corsica to Bergerie Olivella. This 19th-century stone farmhouse offered by Corsican Places sleeps six and has its own pool as well as glorious views of the countryside from its terraces. It’s now £399pp, a saving of £383pp, and is based on six people sharing. The price includes Heathrow flights on 24 September, as well as car hire and a welcome hamper.

9. For a countryside get-together: save £230 on a Suffolk cottage
Old Drift House near the Suffolk village of Kersey is an exquisite 15th-century thatched cottage that sleeps eight and has a pub only 200 yards away – perfect if you’re looking for a place to celebrate a birthday or a special occasion. Premier Cottages is offering three nights’ self-catering from 20 or 27 October for £750, a saving of £230.
10. For an Italian lakeside idyll: 41% off Lake Garda
Save £349 off a week’s half-board holiday overlooking Lake Garda. Inghams is offering seven nights at the 3-star lakeside Catullo Hotel in Sirmione from £499pp, a saving of 41%. The price includes Gatwick flights and half board.
