We've spent the last week scouring the internet for the best travel deals out there. From the USA to northern Africa, here's our pick of the best holiday offers this week. 

1. For countryside walks: £124 off a Yorkshire cottage

Get cosy by the wood-burner in Belle Vue, a charming stone cottage in the village of Osmotherley on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Sykes Cottages is offering a week in the three-bedroom cottage for £358, a saving of £124, from 6–13 October.

2. For a French idyll: a Dordogne cottage for £494

Relax in the green depths of the Dordogne countryside in Le Petit Village, a collection of three period cottages with a shared pool. Novasol is offering seven nights’ self-catering in a three-bedroom cottage near the village of Le Bugue for £494 until 7 October. Flights to nearby Bergerac are extra.

3. For a glitzy break: Las Vegas for £589 with flights

Book by 2 October and save up to 35% off a holiday in Las Vegas with My America Holiday. Four nights at the 4-star MGM Grand Hotel and Casino cost from £589pp, including flights from Manchester, for a 10 December departure.

4. For a South African adventure: 20% off a safari

Book by 30 September and save 20% off a four-day safari thrJough Kruger National Park with Acacia Africa. You’ll get two full days of game viewing, and there’s the option of a night drive. The starting price of £252pp includes accommodation, most meals, transport and the services of a tour leader, for an 11 November departure. Flights are extra.

5. For fun in the sun: all-inclusive Fuerteventura for £594

Head to the Canary Islands for some much-needed sun with this all-inclusive break with Teletext Holidays. It’s offering seven nights at the Suite Hotel Atlantis Fuerteventura Resort next to the Corralejo National Dune Park for £594pp for an 8 November departure. The price, a saving of £105, includes Gatwick flights, transfers and all meals.

6. For a hilltop haven: half-price Devon

Move quickly to scoop up this five-bedroom Devon cottage, Lazylands, set on a hill above South Sands Beach near Salcombe. Helpful Holidays has slashed 50% off the price for 30 September, bringing it down to £856 for a week’s self-catering. As the house sleeps 11, it works out to less than £78pp.

7. For Italian elegance: save £477 on Sicily

Stroll through the chic streets of Taormina under the smouldering gaze of Mount Etna with Sicilian Places. It’s offering a seven-night break at Villa Angela, a boutique hotel owned by Simple Minds’ Jim Kerr. Chill out in the pool or take the cable car down to Mazzarò beach. The price of £729pp, down from £1,206pp, includes Luton flights, breakfast and car hire, and it’s for an 18 October departure.

8. For an Arctic odyssey: self-drive Iceland for £835 with flights

Book by 30 September and save 10% off a four-night tour of south Iceland. DialAFlight is offering a Glaciers and Waterfalls Tour starting in Reykjavík and takes you along the Golden Circle route past geysers and other natural wonders. The price of £835pp includes Heathrow flights, accommodation, breakfast and car hire.

9. For North African break: save £224 on Marrakesh

Loveholidays has knocked £224 off its seven-night holiday to Marrakesh. Now costing £326pp, the break features a week’s all-inclusive at the 4-star Iberostar Club Palmeraie, where you can swim and relax in 18 acres of luxuriant gardens. A free shuttle takes you into the heart of the city where you can lose yourself in the Medina.
