Gadget-free family time

Having identified in a recent study that over a third (36%) of UK mums and dads don’t think their children spend enough time playing outside, Beyond Escapes has launched a new initiative, encouraging kids to get off tech and learn the lost art of den-making. The new holiday destination is offering all guests the chance to hire out a complimentary den-making kit to use during their stay and help them get back to nature.

As part of this fantastic prize, you’ll receive your very own den-making kit to use with the little ones during your retreat to Beyond Escapes and to take home afterwards.

The den-making kit has all you need for a whole day of adventures with the family including a ground sheet, tarpaulin, rope, tent pegs, an ash mallet, mug, face paint, and, of course, instructions to guide you and your children on the best techniques of den-making.

Terms & conditions

1. No purchase necessary to enter the prize draw.
2. This prize draw is open to residents of the United Kingdom, aged 18 years or over, with the exception of employees of the Promoter, their families, agents and anyone else connected with this promotion.
3. Entries must be received by 23:59 BST on 31 August 2018. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted or fail to reach the Promoter by the relevant closing date for any reason. Proof of posting or sending is not proof of receipt. Automatically generated entries or entries via agents or third parties are invalid and shall not be considered. Entries become the property of the Promoter.
4. Only one entry per person.

6. All correctly completed entries will be entered into a prize draw, which will take place by 4 September 2018. The first entry drawn will be the winner. The winner will be notified by email and will have 14 days to accept their prize. If the winner does not accept their prize within 14 days, it will be offered to another entrant.
7. The Prize is as stated, non-negotiable, non-transferable, subject to availability and there is no cash alternative or different option. The promoter reserves the right (a) to substitute alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value and (b) in exceptional circumstances to amend or foreclose the promotion without notice. Your statutory rights remain unaffected. No correspondence will be entered into.
8. Other than as specified, the Promoter shall not be liable for any costs or expenses arising out of or in any way connected with this prize and does not accept any responsibility for any damage, loss or disappointment suffered by the winner as a result of accepting this prize.
9. Winners accept prize at own risk. Also, if winners are unable to take the prizes, a redraw will take place.
10. The prize consists of a three-night self-catering stay for two adults and two children under the age of 18 in a BE Lux Lodge with hot tub at Beyond Escapes Devon, and 1 x BE Wild! Den Kit.
11. The prize must be taken and completed between from 10th September 2018 to Friday, 31st March 2019 and is subject to availability. Excludes arrivals at peak times, including school holidays and UK/national public holidays.
12. Any additional expenditure (e.g. meals in the restaurant or spa and gym usage) or spending money outside of the stated package is not included. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
13. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Beyond Escapes reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value and/or alter the competition in any way, including cancelling or withdrawing the competition altogether.
14. Beyond Escapes reserves the right to withhold prizes in the event of non-compliance with these terms and conditions or if Beyond Escapes deems, in its absolute discretion, there to have been any malpractice throughout the competition period.
15. Beyond Escapes accepts no liability for the prize or for any loss or damage arising from its issue.
16. Employees connected with this promotion from Beyond Escapes or any companies or agencies directly connected with the creation and administration of this promotion or their families are excluded from taking part in this competition. Anyone found to be a third-party supplier will automatically forfeit the prize and a new selection will take place.
17. Once the prize is booked, we are unable to offer a refund, exchange or transfer.
18. The winners agree to take part in reasonable post event publicity and to the use of their names and photographs in such publicity.
19. The Promoter will use any data submitted by entrants only for the purposes of running the prize draw, unless otherwise stated in the entry form. By entering this prize draw, all entrants consent to the use of their personal data by the Promoter for the purposes of the administration of this prize draw and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented.
20. By entering this prize draw each entrant confirms that his/her entry is their wholly-owned creation and to the extent that such entry makes use of any third-party materials that these have been fully cleared unless they are no longer protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights. Entrants will keep the Promoter harmless from any claims in relation to their entry that the entry infringes the personal or proprietary right of any other person. By submitting an entry, each entrant grants to the Promoter and Beyond Escapes a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence use, broadcast, publish and otherwise use the entrant’s name and statements regarding this prize draw for advertising, promotional and/or any other purpose in any and all media now or hereafter devised worldwide in perpetuity without additional compensation, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.
21. Promoter may disqualify any entrant whose entry does not comply with these terms and conditions (in Promoter’s sole opinion) or who, in Promoter’s sole determination, has acted in a manner that is fraudulent, dishonest or unjust to other entrants including, without limitation, tampering with the operation of the prize draw, manipulating or rigging votes, hacking, deceiving, cheating or by harassing or threatening other entrants or a representative of Promoter.
