Love Inc is an expanding digital lifestyle publishing company based in the UK with a global focus. Our brands include loveMONEY, loveFOOD, loveEXPLORING and lovePROPERTY. Our Spanish Language Team works with third-party partner sites in Spain and across Latin America.
We are currently looking for freelance translators to localise our editorial features from English into lively, conversational Latin American Spanish that will be understood by a Latin American Spanish language audience. We are not looking for straightforward translations; writing with flair as well as accuracy is essential.
The role is fully remote.
We are ideally looking for someone who can commit to at least five days per month.
What we’re looking for from you:
- Strong writing skills (Latin American Spanish), preferably with a background in journalism, PR or literary translation;
- Fluency in English;
- A self-starting, diligent attitude with meticulous attention to detail;
- A keen interest in the subject matter areas we cover.
The role will require you to perform the following tasks:
- Fast, accurate translating of English-language editorial content (2,000+ words) from the subject areas of travel, food and drink, money and property into appealing Latin American Spanish for online publication;
- Proofreading and quality assurance of translations;
- Some headline writing and image selection (full training will be provided).
