You can now go on a cruise with David Hasselhoff

We’ve all wondered what it’s like to party with our favourite musicians, actors and celebrities, but now David Hasselhoff fans needn’t rely on imagination…

GEO Reisen, an Austrian cruise operator, is offering Hoffmeister fans from all over the world the chance to cruise the Mediterranean on the Costa Favolosa, with the man in question in on board, this November.

The “Official World Fan Cruise” sets off from Savona, Italy and hauls anchor in Civitavecchia/Rome; Barcelona; Marseille and docks back in Savona during the six-day voyage.

What can Hoff fans expect on this unusual “fan event”? Apparently, a lot of “up close and personal time”, “rockin’ and rolling” with the Hoff – but only if you book the exclusive fan package.

For those that do invest, Hasselhoff, 64, will provide entertainment by singing some of his favourite Broadway and West End classics. There’ll be a film night during which guests can watch “the best scenes of his movies” in the onboard cinema. Plus, he’ll host a Q&A session (get your questions at the ready) and sign autographs.

The ship itself features 1,508 cabins, 13 bars, four swimming pools, a 4D cinema, a casino and a disco. Ticket prices start at €799 (£685) for an indoor cabin.

Floating with celebs

Celebrity-themed cruises aren’t all that uncommon, it appears. Here are a few of the other celeb cruises you can book onto.

Sail with Sulu himself

Star Trek enthusiasts can boldly go where no man has gone before in January 2018, on one of two back-to-back Caribbean cruises with a line-up including George Takei (Sulu), Brent Spinner (Lieutenant Commander Data), Odo and more. There’ll be meet-and-greets, celebrity-hosted comedy shows and other themed events.

Rock out like KISS

KISS fans are invited to join the seventh mission of the KISS Kruise from 5-10 November this year. The ship travels from New Orleans to Mexico’s Costa Maya and Cozumel, and it promises to be another rockin’ vacation with performances by KISS themselves, Steel Panther and more.

Strictly sailing

Whether you’ll watch the stars from the sidelines, or dare to take a spin on the stage yourself, this Strictly Come Dancing journey promises to add a little more sparkle to your time at sea through the Med or Baltic. You’ll meet your favourite dancers and find out more than you bargained for at Q&A sessions.
