The hotel also offers self-catered living spaces, built in 2018, which are perfect for couples and families, and feature two bedrooms (one super king or twin and one king), two bathrooms, kitchen-living space, private terrace with a Jacuzzi and separate entrance.
Guests can still enjoy all of the facilities in the main hotel including the restaurant, swimming pool, gym and spa. With timber frames, organic shapes and quirky features, these AA 5 Gold Star rustic holiday homes draw inspiration from the rugged Cornish countryside.
One of the only spa hotels in Falmouth to combine centuries-old rejuvenation techniques with well-being teachings from across the world, Linen Rooms Spa is a calming space offering Temple Spa treatments, from indulgent facials to detoxifying massages. Guests can work out at the gym and enjoy the 39-foot (12m) indoor swimming pool, aromatherapy steam room and hydrotherapy pool.
What’s to eat?
Rastella is the on-site 3 AA Rosette restaurant run by Cornish head chef Aiden Blakely-May. His dishes combine home-grown flavours with a lovingly chosen wine list and ingredients include locally sourced fish caught using the most sustainable methods possible, Terras duck sustainably bred on a small-scale farm in the Fal Valley and greens grown in a market garden by a farmer and former Rick Stein head chef. Aiden says of his menu: "The food on your plate has a story and we can tell you every step of it."
With a genuine passion for street food and a fascination for ancient cooking techniques, Aiden uses these in modern ways to produce great food. Examples of this include fermenting home-grown Cornish chillies to make sriracha, working the restaurant’s five-year-old yeast for sourdough and making Rastella’s own mirin and soy sauces for pickling and curing meats.
