Flights to mainland Europe are getting ever cheaper, but accommodation costs seem to be sky rocketing. Thankfully, until May 11, lastminute.com are running a hotel sale with up to 40% off properties in European capitals for stays this month.

For an all-inclusive beach break: £299 Mallorca trip

Travelzoo’s latest European bargain is an all-inclusive trip to sunny Mallorca. For just £299 per person you’ll get flights, transfers and five nights’ full board at Ola Hotel Panama in the Palma Nova resort on the island’s southwest coast.

Travel dates are selected days in May, June, September and October, all of which generally see temperatures over 24 degrees Celsius, and for an extra £100 you can also travel in July and August.

For a voyage of discovery: £1,000 off Arctic cruise
