7 travel deals we love this week
From staycations to tropical island escapes, there are some bargains to be had with these great deals.
Summer has officially arrive in the UK this week. We've seen stunning blue skies and temperatures up to 28°C. If you want to make the most of this good weather, check out deals one and seven from our round up below, and if you still want to get away, there's plenty inbetween.
1. For an unusual UK getaway: 25% off stay in a fort
If you’re after something unique and don’t want to travel too far, head to the Isle of Wight and stay in this converted fort.
The Golden Hill Fort is a spectacular Grade I listed building dating back to 1863. It was once used as a base for the men and women who manned the defences on the western end of the island, but has now been converted into 18 luxury apartments.
Close to Alum Bay, the famous Needles and plenty of paths for walking and cycling, it’s a stunning location, with great views, for a short self-catering, UK break. Prices start from £562 based on a four-night stay arriving on 24 June.
2. For an island escape: 7 nights in Ibiza from £195pp
Ibiza isn’t all about the parties. There are tonnes of things to do on this gorgeous isle that will keep any holidaymaker happy. Loveholidays.com – no relation to loveEXPLORING, we promise – are currently offering almost a third off trips to the island.
Stay at the Azuline S’Anfora in San Antonio on a bed and breakfast basis, with flights from Gatwick on 2nd June, and you’ll pay just £195 per person.
3. For a European city break: Amsterdam package from £199pp
LastMinute.com have a host of brilliant city break deals this week, but our favourite is Amsterdam.
With news that the direct Eurostar to the Dutch capital will be delayed until 2018, don’t wait any longer. With this deal you can fly from Heathrow departing 19 June and get spend two nights in the glorious 4-star NH Amsterdam Zuid, from just £199 per person.

4. For a Caribbean paradise: all-inc Aruba for under £950
If you’re after a slice of paradise, book this trip to Aruba with First Choice. For just £939 per person (based on two adults sharing) you’ll get return flights from London Gatwick and a seven-night stay at the 4-star 4Sun Tamarijn.
Located on Druif beach, the hotel plenty to keep you busy: gorge in five different restaurants, enjoy access to three different pools (two are offsite) and a golf course. This deal departs on 20 June.
5. For somewhere unknown: 50% off Contiki trips
If you’re prepared to embark on an adventure to somewhere entirely unknown (to you), then you’ll be greatly rewarded with Contiki’s new Dare to Adventure deal. Take the test, get your result, read the extremely vague trip description (including estimated departure and return dates and accommodation info) and then book it to get up to 50% off the usual price.

6. For a Baltic adventure: 2-week cruise for £1,089
If you’re still stuck for a summer holiday and want to try something a little different, Iglu Cruises are offering a 14-night Baltic Heritage cruise for just £1,089.
The itinerary takes in Bruges, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallinn, St Petersburg, Helsinki and Gdansk before heading back to Southampton. The ship, Crown Princess, has three main dining rooms, plenty of other restaurants, a gym and spa, and a nine-hole golf course.
If you’ve got kids in tow, prices for the little ones start from just £399.
7. For a spectacular British beach break: 30% off Devon thatched cottage
This week Keep Britain Tidy announced its new list of Blue Flag beaches for 2017. Breakwater beach in Devon was one of the 68 Blue Flags awarded this year, and this gorgeous, nearby home by Sykes Cottages now has 30% off its price tag for a seven-night stay from 2 June.
The charming 16-century property sleeps eight and is a short walk from Breakwater, and a short hop by ferry from Dartmouth or Torquay.
