1. For half-price island-hopping in the Adriatic

Contiki has slashed its Croatian Island Hopper sailing tour by 50%, offering eight days from £555pp instead of £1,100. Leaving 19 August, the holiday starts in Dubrovnik and makes its way to Korčula, Hvar, Brač and Makarska before ending in Split. The price includes most meals, but flights are extra.

2. For free flights: family breaks to Icehotel

If you’re planning a winter jaunt to Lapland, book before 31 August and you’ll get free flights for children aged 14 and under with Discover the World. Stay three nights in the Icehotel north of the Arctic Circle from £1,116 per adult and £239 per child, with direct flights from Heathrow to Kiruna any time from next January to March.
